Sony Xperia ion Mobile launched in India |
Sony Mobile has finally announced the launch of its next generation of smartphone, Xperia ion, in India at a price of Rs 36,999. The Xperia ion was unveiled at the 2012 International CES. Available in red and white, the Xperia ion comes with a 4.6" touchscreen and runs on Andorid 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
The Xperia ion sports a 4.6-inch HD Reality display HD resolution screen (1280 x 720), as well as rear cameras for HD recording, as well as the ability to view HD content on the big screen via HDMI.
The HDMI connection also opens the Xperia ion's TV launcher, a customizable home screen carousel of application shortcuts by which a user can navigate the TV launcher and the rest of the Xperia ion's menus at your convenience using your TV's remote control.
Xperia ion boasts all-around HD video recording, so while video chatting or clicking photos, the user can be sure to have high-quality video on the go using either your rear or front-facing cameras.
The Xperia ion comes with 1.5GHz dual-core processor for fast browsing and content download, which can be stored on the internal 16GB flash storage.
The device comes equipped with 12 megapixel back camera and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video conferencing.
The Xperia ion is also PlayStation certified for high quality mobile gaming.
The phone is equipped with a dedicated camera button that allows the device to go from standby mode to first camera shot in just 1.5 seconds.
Xperia ion users will be able to access the richest entertainment experiences from Sony Entertainment Network.
